Born and raised in Chicago, Laura’s dance education includes the Salt Creek Ballet (ABT), Gus Giordano Dance Company, a scholarship with the Joel Hall Dance Company, and extensive training with tap masters Bruce Stegmann and Julie Cartier. Laura most recently worked closely with LA based Paula Morgan and is certified in the Paula Morgan Technique. Laura holds a double major from Elmhurst University in Kinesiology and Business Management.

Professional credits include Nike, McDonalds, Toyota, Bally Total Fitness, Dance Werks Industrials, Chicago Cheetah Girls (NHL), and Virtual Guitar Hero.  

Laura has taught for over 25 years at numerous studios throughout Chicago and Southern California and spent many years on the national competition circuit as a master teacher and adjudicator. She was the Dance Director for one of the largest competitive studios in California and has earned awards for her choreography including the Chicago Dance Masters Award of Excellence. She is also co-founder of M Dance Events, whose mission is to offer intensives and performance opportunities while giving back to the community and supporting local charities. Her expertise is in training the youngest dancers to provide them with a strong technical foundation and a love for the art. She is currently on faculty at South County Dance in Southern California.

Many of her current and past students have gone on to work professionally including credits with Disney, Nickelodeon, Gwen Stefani, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Avicci.

Laura loves to spend time with her family and when she is not teaching she is most likely cheering on her son, Ryan, at one of his many sports or supporting her daughter Kyleen who is now a professional dancer forging her own path in the dance industry!
